Sven Magnus Øen Carlsen is a Norwegian chess grandmaster and the current World Chess Champion. In addition to his success in classical chess, he is also a two-time World Rapid Chess Champion and four-time World Blitz Chess Champion.

Fabiano Luigi Caruana (born July 30, 1992) is an Italian-American chess grandmaster. A chess prodigy, he became a grandmaster at the age of 14 years, 11 months and 20 days—the youngest grandmaster in the history of both Italy and the United States at the time.

Ding Liren

Ding Liren (born 24 October 1992) is a Chinese chess grandmaster. He is the highest rated Chinese chess player in history and is also a three-time Chinese Chess Champion. He reached the finals of Chess World Cup in 2017 and 2019 consecutively.

Alexander Grischuk

Alexander Igorevich Grischuk (Russian: Алекса́ндр И́горевич Грищу́к; born October 31, 1983) is a Russian chess player. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 2000. Grischuk was the Russian champion in 2009. He is also a three-time world blitz champion.

Ian Nepomniachtchi

Ian Alexandrovich Nepomniachtchi (born 14 July 1990) is a Russian chess grandmaster. Nepomniachtchi won the 2010 Russian Superfinal and European Individual titles. He also won the 2016 Tal Memorial and 2008 and 2015 Aeroflot Open. Ian learned to play chess at 4 years old.

Levon Aronian

Levon Grigori Aronian (Armenian, Levon Grigori Aronyan; born 6 October 1982) is an Armenian chess player. He was awarded the title Grandmaster by FIDE in 2000. On the March 2014 FIDE rating list, he was ranked number two in the world and had an Elo rating of 2830.
